The Wem Carnival Committee is a dedicated team of local volunteers who work tirelessly all year-round to bring one of Shropshire’s most loved community events to life.
From planning parades to selling programmes, organising Gala Field activities to leading the parade, we do it all!

Wem Carnival wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. From behind-the-scenes planning to hands-on help on the day, every role is vital in keeping this historic event alive and thriving. As the carnival continues to grow, we’re always looking for enthusiastic new volunteers to join our team. Whether you would like to join the committee and help year-round, or you can offer a few hours on Carnival Day marshalling, any support is vital and helps make Wem Carnival a success for the whole community.
