Parade Beginning
Beginning at the Wem Sports and Social Car Park with a full programme of entertainment, stalls and shows the carnival will prove to be Wem’s biggest free one day event.
Parade Time
So that everyone has an opportunity to enjoy this event, there will be an afternoon and an evening parade.
Afternoon Parade: 1:30pm
Evening Parade: 7:45pm
WHERE IS WEM?
Wem is situated on the B5476 midway between Whitchurch in the North of Shropshire and Shrewsbury in the South. It is off the A49. sat nav ref is SY4 5AP
The Carnival Field is at Bowensfield by the Swimming Pool SY4 5AP will get you there.
Parade Road Closures
The roads will be closed 30 minutes before the start of both the day and evening parades. Roads will re-open soon after the parade has cleared.
Route
Starting at Wem’s Sports and Social car park, along Pyms Road heading towards New Street. The parade will then cross over New Street moving along Summerfield Road adjoining Station Road, past Wem’s Recreational grounds, moving along Aston Road through to the Wem High Street, to return to the Sports and Social car park via Lowe Hill Road and the top end of Pyms Road.
