Food is available from the variety of cafes, shops and takeaways within the town centre, or food outlets on the gala field.

Parking is available at the Council run car parks at Leek Street, Mill Street and the Railway Station. The usual fees apply. There is no parking on the parade route, disabled parking is available at all of the aforementioned car parks.

With over 25 years experience we never let a bit of rain stop us.

Official Police road closures start 30 minutes before each parade and remain enforced until the last vehicle has completed the route.

Toilets are available on Leek Street carpark, the Recreation ground, and the gala field.

There is no fee to watch the carnival although donations in our official collection tins would be gratefully appreciated. Entry to the gala field is also by donation. All donations received help to ensure the future of Wem Carnival.

The parade starts at 13.30 and the illuminated parade at 19.45 from Bowens Field, proceeding along Station Road, High Street, Lowe Hill Road, and back to Bowens Field. The parade usually takes around 90 minutes to complete during which times official road closures are enforced
